How to Evaluate a Fruit Tea Private Label Supplier: A 10-Point Checklist

A 10-point checklist for choosing a fruit tea private label supplier: certifications, MOQ, packaging and documents.

A fruit tea private label supplier should be judged on ten points: food safety certification and its scope, factory and line capability, RTD format experience, minimum order quantity, flavor fidelity, packaging design support, export documentation, sample policy, scale-up headroom and channel support. This checklist turns those ten into questions you can put to any supplier, with our own answers as the worked example.

Who This Checklist Is For

If you are a beverage brand buyer or a founder preparing a private label ready-to-drink fruit tea line, the hard part is not finding suppliers, it is comparing them. Trade shows and marketplaces hand you brochures; this checklist gives you a like-for-like scorecard, so the supplier that survives is the one that fits your launch, not the one with the loudest catalog.

Points 1-3: Certifications, Factory Depth and RTD Experience

Start with certificates, and read them rather than collect them: check the number, the issuing body, the scope and the validity window. Our ISO 22000:2018 food safety management system, HACCP-based, is issued by CQC under certificate 001FSMS2400758, valid from October 2024 to October 2027, with the scope written as production of flavored tea, packaging of tea and herbal tea products. We also hold a US FDA food facility registration, no. 10319209992, and Halal certification against GSO 2055-1:2015, which matters if the Gulf is on your roadmap.
Then ask who actually makes the liquid, because a leaf tea trader is not automatically a beverage producer. Our group runs two plants: Yuanjin (Chaozhou) Tea Co., Ltd., which was invested in 2024 adjacent to Phoenix Mountain with 12 automated lines, 8,000 tons per year of capacity and the No. 1 Phoenix Dancong output in Chaozhou, and our Guangzhou plant focused on imported black teas with 6 lines and 3,000 tons per year, nearly 11,000 tons combined. RTD fruit tea is a proven format here: the current line-up covers six flavors, Yashixiang Lemon Tea, Peach Oolong Fruit Tea, Rose Roselle Vinegar, Green Tangerine Kumquat, Grape Oolong and Fresh Apple Tea, packed ambient stable in 1.5-liter bottles, six per carton.

Points 4-6: MOQ, Flavor Fidelity and Packaging Design

Minimum order decides whether a launch is testable. For RTD fruit teas our MOQ starts at 100 cartons, which is 600 bottles at six 1.5-liter bottles per carton, low enough for a regional pilot and confirmed per project rather than treated as a quote. Flavor fidelity is checked two ways: nine developed application recipes show how our tea bases pair with fruit, and sensory descriptions for each RTD flavor are shared during inquiry. On packaging, private label is available with professional packaging design support in scope, from bottle and carton artwork to your labeling requirements.

Points 7-10: Documents, Samples, Scale-Up and Channel Support

Ask what arrives with the goods: certificates, specification sheets and the export documents your broker and your retail partners will request. Ask how samples work before you commit tooling or a container. Then ask what happens after the pilot, because a trial that cannot grow is a dead end: full-channel tea solutions, custom formulas and seasonal developments are how a 100-carton trial becomes a program. Our OEM service is built around that sequence, backed by group sourcing of more than 100 tea materials and a standing inventory above 1,000 tons.

RTD flavors, 1.5 L / 6-bottle carton packing and private label availability follow our published RTD packing sheet; the 100-carton MOQ is a company term confirmed per project. Factory capacities (8,000 and 3,000 tons per year, 12 and 6 lines) and sourcing figures (100+ tea materials, 1,000+ ton inventory) are company records. No third-party client names or pricing are disclosed.
